Sixties Style || HOTD && FOTD
Hello lovelies,
Today I yet again felt inspired by sort of 60's esque hair and I wanted to try out something new, here are the results and a step by step guide on how to get this look!
For the hair:
- I washed my hair and let it dry a little bit wrapped in a towel, then I applied a serum to the ends and a volumising, heat protecting moose to the roots, spritzed it with a heat protection spray, brushed that all through the hair and gently blow dried it with my head upside down.
- Then I got a thin toothed comb and sectioned off 1-2 inch sections of hair from the front of my head and combed them through until they were smooth
- I got two hair grips, bobby pins, curby grips whatever you want to call them, and criss crossed them over each other when fastening the front section just behind my ears
- I spritzed some hairspray on three finger and then smoothed the 'fringe' section down so there were no fly-aways
- Then to finish I spritzed the rest of the hair with a texturising, salt spray and messed it up, giving it the final look!
For the eyes:
- Blend a light brown colour, only 2 shades darker than your natural skin tone across the whole lid and blend into the crease
- Take a darker, medium toned brown and work it into the crease, making sure to blend out all the edges with a white or cream coloured shadow
- Run a dark brown, creamy, soft eye liner along the lash line and smudge this up, blending it out, then run the excess that was left on the brush under the lower lash line, then apply the eye liner into your waterline and tight line
- Apply a shimmery highlight to the brow bone and inner corners and apply your favourite mascara, then you're good to go
This is a great look on you Charley - LOVE your hair! x
