Cause every day ought'a be a bad day for you.
Okay so I am in an extremely good musical mood lately, I have been listening to music to help me study and stuff so I thought I would talk about the albums I have really been loving lately...
BIG picture:
Darwin Deez- I am going to see Darwin Deez in Birmingham on the 13th February so I have been loving this album the most, they have a really interesting sound; they're an American "Indie" band and everything they produce is pure genius. My favourite songs at the moment would have to be Bad Day, DNA, The Suicide Song and Radar Detector... of course! Can not fault this album, pure perfection.
Clockwise from top:
The XX- This album is by the beautiful voices of the XX, they also have quite an interesting sound not quite so conventional, but nonetheless great. They're an English "Indie-Pop" band, but I would say they're quite "Alternative" with their sound, very good to chill out too! My favourite song is VCR by far!
Falcon- This album is by The Courteeners are also an "Indie" band, okay so I am starting to see a trend with my music! This album is honestly the most amazing collection of songs, it's quite versatile which makes it all the more interesting to me. My favourite songs would have to be The Rest Of The World Has Gone Home, You Overdid It Doll and Good Times Are Calling.
Puzzle- This is definitely Biffy Clyro's best album, they're a Scottish "Rock" band, I have always had a soft spot for them because of the constant Kerrang a few years ago but recently Will recommended the album to me and I fell right back in love with them. I'm not even sure I could name a favourite song because I love them all, it's a brilliant album!
+- Ed Sheeran's latest album '+' is a brilliant mixture of chilled and more up-beat songs, Ed Sheeran as an artist is quite versatile he can rap and sing, with clear definitive differences. My favourite songs on this album would have to be Give Me Love, Kiss Me and Little Bird
Every Kingdom-There isn't one word to describe the talent of Ben Howard, his ability to play the acoustic guitar so beautifully is enough on it's own let alone his voice and lyrical genius. If I had to chose a favourite song of this album it would have to be Keep Your Head Up, I think it's definitely a song I can relate to. I need to keep my head up and my heart strong right now.
Coexist- Lastly but surely not least another album by The XX, this is again a very chilled album! I tend to listen to these in the Bath before bed to relax me, it is a beautiful album! I think Angel would have to be my favourite song right now from this album!
I absolutely love Ben Howard! x
